2008 January 23: This morning, while out walking the dogs at the green and empty lot with the basketball court beside VEA School a stone’s throw away from where we reside, I came up with the thought: instead of The Franciscan Quote, it should be The Franciscan Quip.

By their quotes you shall know them. I rather think that these selections and quotes represent my thoughts on the subject, and they provide a good glimpse of the content of each of the original article. While all of them are precious to me, truly some are funny, some are gems.

Beginning today, 2008 January 8, what you find here in one site are selections and quotes from the Franciscan essays of Frank A Hilario from his writings of many years. Slowly I will select and collect my quotables from previous essays and non-essays dating back to 2005, even 2002. (He is writing a book on popularizing science and he is calling himself The Rebel Writer now. He likes to be different.)
